Bangkok is regarded as the Street Food capital of the world.

One can get immense variety of Thai Food all across the streets of Bangkok but areas like China Town, Yaowarat Road and Petchaburi Soi 5 top the list.

So here is all the famous street food I tried in Bangkok.
A lot resembled to what you get in indian street food but flavours were obviously extremely different and unique.

1) PAD THAI
Flat rice noodles stir fried with peanuts, eggs, sprouts, palm sugar and tamarind.
Thipsamai Pad Thai is the most popular Pad Thai shop in Bangkok, it's a one Michelin star restaurant.

2) COCONUT WAFFLE BALLS
Pan cake and coconut milk batter balls stuffed with corn, scallions, pumpkin or mushrooms.

3) PAKORAS
Batter fried pakoras made with refined flour.
One gets a choice of onions, corn and spinach. Its garnished with crushed peanuts and served with sweet chilli sauce.

4) TOM YUM SOUP
An aromatic broth soup loaded with thai herbs, vermicelli noodles, mushrooms and eggs.
Pe Aor Tom Yum Noodles is the most famous shop that serves excellent Tom Yum Soup.

5) SOM TAM SALAD
The evergreen thai raw papaya salad made with crushed peanuts, beans, tomatoes, lime, palm sugar and bird eye chillies.

6) STUFFED PAN CAKE
Mini crispy thin pan cakes stuffed with coconut milk infused egg whites along with a choice of oreo cookies, corn, sweet noodles.

7) NAM KANG SAI
Thai ice dessert made with shaved ice, coconut milk, jellies and palm sugar.
Available all over Bangkok.


8) DRIED MUSHROOMS & GREEN TEA
There was a humungous variety of dried mushrooms and green tea available on the streets of china town, Yaowarat Road.

9) FRESH SALAD
Freshly cut veggies like tomatoes, cucumber, beans and sprouts dressed in a spicy zesty thai dressing.

10) TOASTED BUNS
A speciality of Yaowarat toasted buns, This chinese shop makes fresh soft buns and grills them in butter and stuffs them with your choice of stuffing like chilli, chocolate, strawberry jam etc.

11) MAMA NOODLES
Instant noodle boiled and mixed with fresh par boiled veggies and thai condiments.
Soupy and spicy, bursting with flavour.

12) THAI ICED TEA
Milk and ice based chilled tea topped with grass jelly and candies.
Super refreshing in summers.

13) MANGO STICKY RICE
Khaoniao Mamuang is a staple thai dessert where sliced mango is served with sticky jasmine rice and drizzled with coconut cream.
A fabulous sweet and sour combination.

14) SWEET COCONUT BALLS
Shredded coconut candy, chewy and sticky in texture.
